We handle civil cases in the following areas of law: adoption*, child custody, visitation, and child support, divorce, name changes, simple consumer matters, eviction actions, lease termination, non-refund of security deposits, simple wills and probate. We do not handle any criminal cases or any type of case that could generate a fee for an attorney.
*Due to limited resources, at this time we cannot handle adoption cases, but if you call us, we can refer you. 

Call our office at 843.815.1570. We will ask you some questions about your income (only households with income at or below 150% of federal poverty level qualify) and the legal issue you're facing. If you qualify, we will set up a time for you to come in for an intake interview with one of our volunteers. Our attorneys makes all final decisions with respect to which cases we can accept.

In the event you do not qualify, we will refer you to other appropriate resources.
